We congratulate our early-career researchers on receiving the prestigious Giersch Awards for their outstanding scientific accomplishments during their doctoral studies!
Giersch-Excellence-Grant 2026:
- Yessica Ou Ya Vogel (TU Darmstadt) – for her outstanding achievements in the phenomenology of thermal dileptons in the few-GeV energy regime.
- Beatriz Franco Faustino Artur (GU Frankfurt) – for her important work on volume fluctuations in heavy-ion collisions at FAIR energies.
- Eva-dhidho Taka (GU Frankfurt) – for her outstanding progress on the integration of pixel-vertex detectors.
- Patryk Semeniuk (GU Frankfurt / AGH) – for his work on the development and implementation of a complex readout system for the CBM STS.
Giersch Award for Outstanding Doctoral Thesis 2026:
- Dario Alberto Ramirez Zaldivar – for his exceptional and pioneering contributions to the CBM experiment, providing the first comprehensive validation of the Silicon Tracking System (STS) performance using real experimental data.
